Date Night Delights at Beluga

Hey, friends! Jess here, buzzing to chat about our latest dinner date at Beluga. You know, the swanky spot at Cape Town’s waterfront where we toasted to my parents’ 29th? Well, Greg and I just couldn’t resist round two.

So, for starters, I doubled down on my all-time fave – prawn and avocado inari sushi. Beluga’s got this down to an art form, seriously. It’s like a little hug of flavors in every bite. And Greg? He went for the prawn dumplings, which were steamy little pockets of joy until… oops, mouth burn! Pro tip from the man himself: patience is a virtue, and cooler dumplings are friends, not foes.

Main course action – I’m talking grilled calamari that’s been swimming in a dreamy butter lemon sauce, with a side of mash that’s smoother than a Barry White track. I tapped out halfway (classic me), and Greg, being the ever-ready cleanup hitter, gladly took one for the team.

Greg’s dish was this rich seafood curry that looked deceptively petite but was actually the perfect size to leave you full without the food coma. He’s a tough critic, and his “10/10” stamp of approval is no joke.

Can’t wait for our next Beluga rendezvous! If you find yourself wandering the waterfront, craving some seafood that’ll make your heart sing, Beluga’s the place. And who knows, you might catch us there debating over the last bite of sushi.

Till the next foodie adventure,

Jess
